Between the two world wars, the CIRPAC-group was one of the most important representatives of the „New architecture” in Hungary. Architects like Farkas Molnár, József Fischer and their peers, who were closely tied to Bauhaus and to its spirit, overstepped architecture’s boundaries with their activities.
They published, lectured and organized exhibitions around social issues – undertaking the risk of confrontation with the power. This way, besides their architectural achievements, their site plans reflect the complex political conditions of the 30’s too.
