This is where Amrita Sher Gil, the famous Indian-Hungarian painter and the innovator of Indian painting art, was born in 1913; the apartment of her family was the social salon for enthusiasts of the Indian culture. Another former resident of the building was the composer, B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k who lived and worked here with his second wife, Ditta P\u00e1sztory between 1922 and 1928.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p>A Szil\u00e1gyi Dezs\u0151 t\u00e9r 4. sz\u00e1m\u00fa h\u00e1z 1911 \u00e9s 1913 k\u00f6z\u00f6tt \u00e9p\u00fclt, Kopeczek Gy\u00f6rgy, Hauszmann Alajos-tan\u00edtv\u00e1ny \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9sz tervezte. \u00c9p\u00edttet\u0151je b\u00e1r\u00f3 vask\u00f6vi F\u00f6rster N\u00e1ndor volt, a Magyar Kir\u00e1lyi \u00c1llamvasutak G\u00e9pgy\u00e1ra \u00e9s a Di\u00f3sgy\u0151ri Magyar Kir\u00e1lyi Vas-\u00e9s Ac\u00e9lgy\u00e1r igazgat\u00f3ja, a g\u00e9pgy\u00e1rtulajdonosok \u00e9s gy\u00e1rigazgat\u00f3k klubj\u00e1nak eln\u00f6ke. A h\u00e1z helysz\u00ednen el\u0151regy\u00e1rtott fejlemezes vasbeton gerend\u00e1it az osztr\u00e1k b\u00e1r\u00f3 Spittel Adolf beton \u00e9s vasbeton \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9si v\u00e1llalkoz\u00e1sa k\u00e9sz\u00edtette. (A szerkezet szabadalmi neve Stener-Negrelli f\u00f6d\u00e9m volt).
