A Rend \u00e9s iskol\u00e1juk eleinte a V\u00e1rosh\u00e1z t\u00e9ren, a v\u00e1rosh\u00e1za \u00e9p\u00fclet\u00e9ben kapott helyet, amely akkor a mai gimn\u00e1zium hely\u00e9n \u00e1llt, \u00e1m r\u00f6videsen a Galamb utc\u00e1ban, az \u00fan. jezsuita \u201eG\u00f6r\u00f6g-udvar\u201d megv\u00e1s\u00e1rl\u00e1s\u00e1val \u00faj helyre k\u00f6lt\u00f6ztek. Ez a mai \u00e9p\u00fclet k\u00f6zvetlen szomsz\u00e9ds\u00e1g\u00e1ban tal\u00e1lhat\u00f3. Otthonuk azonban csup\u00e1n n\u00e9h\u00e1ny \u00e9vtizedig maradt ez az \u00e9p\u00edtm\u00e9ny, hamarosan az \u00fan. \u201eGl\u00f6ckelsberg-palot\u00e1ba\u201d v\u00e1ndoroltak. Ez a rokok\u00f3 palota is az egykori V\u00e1rosh\u00e1z t\u00e9ren \u00e1llt. A rend a f\u00f6ldszintet m\u00e1r akkor is keresked\u0151knek, boltosoknak adta ki, \u00e9s felett\u00fck \u00fczemeltette az iskol\u00e1t \u00e9s a k\u00e1poln\u00e1t.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Piarista Rend r\u00e9gi \u00e9p\u00fcleteit a sz\u00e1zadfordul\u00f3s v\u00e1rosrendez\u00e9s idej\u00e9n bontott\u00e1k le. A rendez\u00e9s c\u00e9lja az volt, hogy egy modern nagyv\u00e1rosi funkci\u00f3knak megfelel\u0151 belv\u00e1rost hozzanak l\u00e9tre, hiszen a r\u00e9gi, k\u00f6z\u00e9pkori eredet\u0171, sz\u0171k utc\u00e1k korszer\u0171 k\u00f6zleked\u00e9sre alkalmatlanok voltak. A v\u00e1ros ekkor m\u00e1r ig\u00e9nyelte a helyet nagy v\u00e1s\u00e1rok megtart\u00e1s\u00e1ra, \u00e9s a barokk, majd klasszicista \u00e9p\u00fcletek t\u00f6m\u00f6r egym\u00e1s mell\u00e9 \u00e9p\u00fcl\u00e9se zs\u00fafoltt\u00e1, haszn\u00e1lhatatlann\u00e1 tette ezt a k\u00f6zponti ter\u00fcletet. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A ma piarista t\u00f6mb n\u00e9ven is ismert \u00e9p\u00fcletet 1914-ben kezdt\u00e9k el \u00e9p\u00edteni az akkori K\u00f6t\u0151 utca (1932-t\u0151l Piarista utca, 1953-t\u00f3l Pesti Barnab\u00e1s utca, 2011 december\u00e9t\u0151l \u00fajra Piarista utca), a Galamb utca meghosszabb\u00edtott vonalai,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a V\u00e1ci utca \u00e9s az Esk\u00fc \u00fat (1898-t\u00f3l Esk\u00fc \u00fat, 1948-t\u00f3l Szabad sajt\u00f3 \u00fat) \u00e1ltal hat\u00e1rolt ter\u00fcleten.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A f\u0151v\u00e1ros t\u00f6rv\u00e9nyhat\u00f3s\u00e1ga \u00e1ltal 1911-ben alkotott szab\u00e1lyoz\u00e1s alapj\u00e1n egy \u00faj, 1485 n\u00e9gysz\u00f6g\u00f6les ter\u00fcleten kezd\u0151dhetett meg az \u00e9p\u00edtkez\u00e9s. Az \u00e9p\u00fclet megtervez\u00e9s\u00e9re p\u00e1ly\u00e1zatot \u00edrtak ki, amelyre t\u00f6bb \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9sz \u2013 pl. Ybl Lajos, Kot\u00e1l Henrik, Steinhardt Antal \u2013 is jelentkezett, \u00e1m az els\u0151 d\u00edjat H\u00fcltl Dezs\u0151nek \u00edt\u00e9lt\u00e9k. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H\u00fcltl Dezs\u0151 kor\u00e1nak keresett \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9sze volt, nev\u00e9hez olyan alkot\u00e1sok f\u0171z\u0151dnek, mint a Magyar Tudom\u00e1nyos Akad\u00e9mia b\u00e9rpalot\u00e1ja (\u00e9p\u00fclt: 1939, mai c\u00edme: VII. ker\u00fclet, K\u00e1roly k\u00f6r\u00fat 1.) vagy a kom\u00e1romi Kult\u00farpalota (\u00e9p\u00fclt: 1913, ma Duna Menti M\u00fazeum), de \u0151 ir\u00e1ny\u00edtotta a Piarista Rend majd\u2019 minden magyarorsz\u00e1gi \u00e9p\u00edtkez\u00e9s\u00e9t is, h\u00e1rom \u00e9vtizeden \u00e1t hal\u00e1l\u00e1ig (1946-ig). \u00cdgy az \u0151 tervei alapj\u00e1n \u00e9p\u00fclt fel a budapesti gimn\u00e1zium \u00e9s rendh\u00e1z mellett a v\u00e1ci, a kecskem\u00e9ti gimn\u00e1zium, a nagykanizsai rendh\u00e1z \u00e9s gimn\u00e1zium is. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A f\u0151v\u00e1ros elv\u00e1r\u00e1sai k\u00f6z\u00f6tt szerepelt egy nagy, reprezentat\u00edv palota \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9se a Duna partj\u00e1n, \u00edgy H\u00fcltlnek ezt is sz\u00e1m\u00edt\u00e1sba kellett vennie a tervez\u00e9s sor\u00e1n. Az ut\u00f3bb \u201ePiarista Palotak\u00e9nt\u201d is ismert L alak\u00fa \u00e9p\u00fclet h\u00eddfelj\u00e1r\u00f3 fel\u0151li r\u00e9sze lett a rendh\u00e1z \u00e9s a tartom\u00e1nyf\u0151n\u00f6ks\u00e9g irod\u00e1inak helye (ma Sapientia Szerzetesi Hittudom\u00e1nyi F\u0151iskola is), az \u00e9p\u00fclet nagyobbik r\u00e9sz\u00e9ben pedig a gimn\u00e1zium helyezkedett el, ahogy ma is. Az \u00e9p\u00fclet els\u0151 k\u00e9t szintj\u00e9t a Rend ekkor is kereskedelmi c\u00e9lra b\u00e9rbe adta. A tan\u00edt\u00e1s azonban csup\u00e1n n\u00e9h\u00e1ny \u00e9vtizedig folyhatott nyugalomban, ugyanis az m\u00e1sodik vil\u00e1gh\u00e1bor\u00fa puszt\u00edt\u00e1sai nem k\u00edm\u00e9lt\u00e9k. A vil\u00e1g\u00e9g\u00e9s \u00e9veiben az \u00e9p\u00fclet t\u00f6bb bel\u00f6v\u00e9st, bombatal\u00e1latot is kapott, \u00edgy a h\u00e1bor\u00fa v\u00e9g\u00e9re s\u00fcrg\u0151sen fel\u00faj\u00edtand\u00f3 \u00e1llapotba ker\u00fclt.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A vil\u00e1gh\u00e1bor\u00fa ut\u00e1n m\u00e9g a Piarista Rend \u00e1ll\u00edtotta helyre az \u00e9p\u00fclet tetej\u00e9n \u00e1ll\u00f3 tornyot, illetve kezdett neki a fel\u00faj\u00edt\u00e1snak, \u00e1m 1953-ban az id\u0151k\u00f6zben bek\u00f6vetkezett kommunista hatalom\u00e1tv\u00e9tel nyom\u00e1n l\u00e9trej\u00f6tt \u00faj korm\u00e1ny elvette a rendt\u0151l az \u00e9p\u00fcletet. Annak ellen\u00e9re, hogy a pesti Piarista Gimn\u00e1zium a nyolc enged\u00e9lyezett egyh\u00e1zi gimn\u00e1zium k\u00f6z\u00f6tt volt, k\u00f6lt\u00f6znie kellett. M\u00edg a Gimn\u00e1zium a Miksz\u00e1th t\u00e9ren m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00f6tt tov\u00e1bb az egykori Sacre Coeur n\u0151v\u00e9rek iskol\u00e1j\u00e1ban (ma P\u00e1zm\u00e1ny P\u00e9ter Katolikus Egyetem \u00e9p\u00fclete, c\u00edme: 1088 Budapest, Miksz\u00e1th K\u00e1lm\u00e1n t\u00e9r 1.), addigi \u00e9p\u00fclet\u00e9t az ELTE B\u00f6lcs\u00e9szettudom\u00e1nyi Kara vette birtokba.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Sokan m\u00e9g most is \u00fagy eml\u00e9keznek erre az \u00e9p\u00fcletre, mint egyetem, hiszen eg\u00e9szen a rendszerv\u00e1lt\u00e1sig az \u00e9p\u00fclet az ELTE BTK sz\u00e9khelye volt. A rendszerv\u00e1lt\u00e1s ut\u00e1n azonban hi\u00e1ba kapta vissza a Rend egykori otthon\u00e1t, az egyetem lass\u00fa k\u00f6lt\u00f6z\u00e9se \u00e9s a fel\u00faj\u00edt\u00e1s sz\u00fcks\u00e9gess\u00e9ge j\u00f3 ideig a Miksz\u00e1th t\u00e9ren marasztalta a gimn\u00e1ziumot. 2002-ben k\u00e9sz\u00fclt el a Sapientia Szerzetesi Hittudom\u00e1nyi F\u0151iskola \u00e9p\u00fcletr\u00e9sze, 2011-ben pedig meghat\u00f3 \u00fcnneps\u00e9g keret\u00e9ben a tan\u00e1rok \u00e9s di\u00e1kok hivatalosan is elfoglalhatt\u00e1k hely\u00fcket a mai is l\u00e1that\u00f3 \u00e9p\u00fcletben. A gimn\u00e1ziumi r\u00e9sz fel\u00faj\u00edt\u00e1s\u00e1nak f\u0151 tervez\u0151je Golda J\u00e1nos \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9sz, piarista \u00f6regdi\u00e1k volt.
