Az egyik \u00e9p\u00fcletet Gottgeb Antal tervei alapj\u00e1n k\u00e9sz\u00edtett\u00e9k el (1867-1871 k\u00f6z\u00f6tt) Stein N\u00e1th\u00e1n r\u00e9sz\u00e9re, aki a vil\u00e1gh\u00edr\u0171 Stein Antal Kelet-kutat\u00f3 \u00e9desapja volt. A koraekletikus st\u00edlusban \u00e9p\u00fclt, n\u00e9gyemeletes, 6 csonkag\u00fal\u00e1ban cs\u00facsosod\u00f3, Oppenheimer Ign\u00e1c faragta kariatid\u00e1kkal d\u00edsz\u00edtett b\u00e9rpalot\u00e1t sajn\u00e1latos m\u00f3don nem \u00e9rezt\u00e9k otthonuknak a lak\u00f3k: lassacsk\u00e1n mindannyian kik\u00f6lt\u00f6ztek az E\u00f6tv\u00f6s utcai \u00e9p\u00fcletb\u0151l. A tulajdonos Stein 1891-ben eladta a palot\u00e1t a Magyar-Francia Biztos\u00edt\u00f3 T\u00e1rsas\u00e1g Rrt.-nek, akik 1895-ben Illits J\u00f3zsef hotelm\u00e1gn\u00e1snak adt\u00e1k tov\u00e1bb, aki viszont 1909-ben adott t\u00fal rajta a londoni Ritz Hotel Developement Company sz\u00e1m\u00e1ra. Az \u00e9p\u00fclet ennek k\u00f6sz\u00f6nhet\u0151en sajnos lebont\u00e1sra ker\u00fclt, a hely\u00e9re 1910 \u00e9s 1913 k\u00f6z\u00f6tt \u00e9p\u00edtett\u00e9k a 120 lakoszt\u00e1lyos, \u00f6temeletes luxussz\u00e1llod\u00e1t S\u00f3s Alad\u00e1r \u00e9s Fellner S\u00e1ndor tervei alapj\u00e1n. A XVI. Lajos francia kir\u00e1ly st\u00edlus\u00e1ban meg\u00e9p\u00edtett hotel minden akkori luxussal fel volt szerelve: olvas\u00f3-, fogad\u00f3-, b\u00e1lterem, tet\u0151- \u00e9s t\u00e9likert, b\u00e1r, grillszoba, k\u00e1v\u00e9h\u00e1z, \u00e9tterem, sz\u00e1llodai f\u0171t\u00e9s. A hotelt sem k\u00edm\u00e9lte az I. vil\u00e1gh\u00e1bor\u00fa: sajnos 1916-ban cs\u0151dbe ment.<\/p>\n<p>Ezt k\u00f6vet\u0151en a Dreher-konszern vette meg \u00e9s Duna-palota n\u00e9ven \u00fczemeltette tov\u00e1bb.
