Data and description
This Neo-Renaissance school building on Andrássy Street was originally built as a tenement house between 1873 and 1875; however, it functioned as a school from the beginning. The two-stage design process was started by József Pán and continued by Alajos Hauszmann. A remarkable feature is the hanging corridor designed by the latter, walkable by visitors. A scene of the successful Hungarian comedy ‘Ámbár tanár úr’ (approx. ‘Professor Although’) was shot here.
