    Data and description

After Roman and then Turkish predecessors, the first modern building of the Császár Baths opened in 1806, and the adjacent Komjádi swimming pool was inaugurated in 1976. It is named after Béla Komjádi, the coach of the Hungarian water polo team that won the 1932 Olympic gold medal. Its unique feature is its 40-meter span, folding aluminum roof structure, developed by architects György Seregi and Sándor Fernezelyi. The most recent renovation of the swimming pool in 2017 was designed by the Finta Studio.
