    Data and description

The “Act VII of 1808 on the Military Ludovika Academy” created the possibility for an independent Hungarian officer training. The classicist building, designed by Mihály Pollack between 1830 and 1836 served as the venue for Hungarian military officer training from 1872 to 1945. After 1945, the building housed a higher education institution and a museum. The building of the Ludovika Academy of Royal Hungarian Defence was renovated in 2014 and became the seat of the National University of Public Service.
