    Data and description

Just as soon as the Árpád Bridge was inaugurated, it needed to be extended. The factories, the gasworks, the shipyard, and the people seeking work in Óbuda outgrew the area’s single-floor houses and cobbled alleys. It all started here: in 1966, the first housing factory in the country began operating at 101 Szentendrei Road. Today, the center of Óbuda is an architectural blend of old, retro, and new that can be seen nowhere else in the city.
