    Data and description

The synagogue on Rumbach Sebestyén Street, designed by Otto Wagner, was handed over to the neologue community in Pest in 1874. In 1944 the building became part of the ghetto, and by the end of the 1950s sacral life had ceased. After a complete renovation in 2021, following the destruction of the decades, it reopened as a community space welcoming tourists, concerts, performances, events, a museum and sacred life as well. The renovation was designed by the architects Kőnig and Wagner. The interior is the work of Kornél Baliga.
