    Data and description

The plot on Üllői út was bought by bank director Frigyes Ödön Sartory and his wife Emília Giergl in 1871 and they commissioned master builder János Wagner to design their three-storey apartment building. Wagner, who built an ornate neo-Renaissance villa for himself on the Rózsadomb, was a busy designer in the second half of the 19th century, and his work is praised by the exceptionally beautiful suspended corridors that span the courtyard of the house, as well as the pretty balustrade on the Üllői út façade.

The house is taking part in the treasure hunting game of Józsefváros.
