Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út 37. Placht-ház

The corner building at the crossing of Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Street and Hajós Street, the so-called Placht House is a remarkable design of Antal Wéber, an exemplary piece of the Neo-Renaissance style. It is impossible to walk by without marveling at the corner façade with statues. Upon entering, we find further interesting features, like the wrought-iron decoration of the staircase, and a drinking fountain. The poet Attila József once lived here.
