    Data and description

The very first house in Újpalota was built in 1971. The eleven-floor ‘skinny’ block at the beginning of Gyula Hevesi Street (now Nyírpalota Road) was a pioneer later on: in the years after the turn of the millennium, it became one of Budapest’s first energy-efficient panel buildings, with solar panels installed on its roof a decade ago. In addition, the insulated façade is notable for its colorful window bars, which offer different visual experiences depending on the viewpoint.
