    Data and description

    The house is situated on Múzeum Blvd., which was formerly known as Országút (or, in German: Land-Strasse), later Sultan Mehmed Road. This building is a big survivor: it shows traces of Neo-Renaissance as well as the Kádár era architecture, it preserved the atmosphere of Neo-Baroque style and that of the socialist times. In this house have lived, among others, Tamás Péchy, president of the House of Representatives (1880–1893), and Árpád Pásztor (Árpád Pikler) writer, translator (1877-1940). In his novel “The Paul Street Boys”, the famous writer, Ferenc Molnár modelled the character of Big Pásztor on the latter.
