    The Bauhaus building, once home to Nagy Imre, is home to a memorial house depicting the life of the martyr prime minister and the events of the 1956 revolution. The interactive exhibition also includes personal items. During the guided tour, visitors can get an insight into the everyday life of the politician but also of the private citizen. The building and the exhibition are presented by Jánosi Katalin, Nagy Imre’s granddaughter, together with an introduction from Fodor Fanni a colleague of the Memorial House.

    After World War II, the public of Buda was encouraged to participate in the reconstruction of the Atrium Cinema, with posters and half-price tickets. From 1947 to 1990, the House was called “1 May Cinema”, then it could use the name Atrium again. It was closed in 2001, and reopened in 2012 as a public theater.

    A huge blue ball (“kék golyó”) is set out in the Kiscelli museum as part of their exhibition on urban history. This ball used to be the trade-sign of a drugstore in Dohány utca. The Blue Ball name was very popular in the 19th century Pest-Buda – in the current Kék Golyó utca there used to be a beloved corner bar also named Blue Ball.
